English Holiday Cottages: Dorset

I had resolved that rather than inspecting the beach of the Spanish coast, I would save our money, take a risk with the British weather and head to the lovely beaches of Bournemouth. It would seem that I wasn’t the only one as Bournemouth beach was packed and with everything the region has on offer, it is no surprise. Poole and Bournemouth are really entertaining areas of Dorset to see but the county has so lots more to offer. There were a broad range of attractions and sites to visit. My pick of the assorted tourist attractions would have to be Compton Acres, Moors Valley Country Park and Bournemouth beach. I had much a great time at all these sites and will highly commend them to fellow travellers. This was one of the grounds that I decided that my kinsfolk and I would rent in a holiday cottage in Dorset instead of a hotel. This meant we were able to stay in a home where we felt comfortable and free to do what we wished. It was as well a fantastic base from which we were able journey to the localised holidaymaker attractions easy. We were fortunate enough that our country cottage was set less then thirty minutes away from most of these tourist destinations. The country cottage we stayed in was near to a local pub which we regularly attended, where we gained a friendly relationship with the landlord. We found out from the landlord that cottages in Dorset were widely popular in the country and that he frequently met travellers such as us that stay in them. If you are considering of going on trip to Dorset then I would advocate staying in Dorset cottages. The welcome you will find from the individuals is wonderful, it is a great deal forgiving on the wallet than a flight afield and you will leave feeling laid-back and fresh.
